Tell Governor Murphy: Keep the Clean Energy Fund whole

Every year, Governor Murphy cuts roughly a third of the Clean Energy Fund -- paid by ratepayers like you on your utility bills -- and diverts it to other state budget priorities. These investments can help us to switch to a renewable economy, mitigate climate change, expand the clean energy economy and protect public health -- but only if the funds aren't diverted.

A sizable chunk of this money is diverted to keep NJ Transit afloat, as the agency has no dedicated source of funding from the state, unlike every other major transit agency in America.

Our future is not a slush fund. Send a message to Governor Murphy to urge him to keep the Clean Energy Fund whole in his upcoming budget proposal to the Legislature, and to create a dedicated source of funding for NJ Transit.
